Eric Munene Kimani, Chairman & Director

Eric is a seasoned business leader with an ethics and governance background, entrepreneur and philanthropist with extensive experience in leading organisations.  He currently serves on the boards of several companies / institutions as a non-executive director, some of which include I & M Foundation, Kenya Climate Ventures Limited and Kibo Fund. Eric is Chairman of the Company’s board.

Madabhushi Soundararajan, Country Managing Director

Madabhushi Soundararajan (“Soundy”) has primary board responsibility for client relationships and business development. He also provides strong leadership to the Kenyan team and their commitment to build a robust and sustainable business based on the highest standards of professionalism and governance. Soundy’s illustrious banking career spans about four decades, his particular strengths being in finance and corporate credit, initially in India with State Bank of India and then Standard Chartered Bank. Soundy has worked in Kenya since 1988 and prior to joining us, he was Managing Director of CFC Bank, Kenya, a position he held until June 2008. Soundy continues to offer consultancy services to a number of clients with a particular focus on financial services, wealth and investment management. He serves on several large company boards.

Abel Munda, Managing Director

Abel’s career spans nearly four decades. He has a wealth of corporate experience having worked in senior management positions in finance, strategy, and operations, most recently as Managing Director of Liberty Life Assurance, Kenya from 2008 until March 2023. Earlier he worked with American Insurance Group (AIG) in United States, West Africa and Kenya, and CfC Stanbic Bank and CfC (Liberty) Life Assurance in Kenya. Abel is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya. He has a degree in Accounting & Computer Science from Cheyney University and an MBA in Financial Administration from Widener University.

Kiriga Kunyiha, Non-Executive Director

Kiriga has over two decades of experience in private equity, focusing on origination, structuring, negotiating, execution and value creation in private equity transactions. He previously worked with The Abraaj Group and Aureos Capital in Kenya. He has actively participated in a variety of investments in East Africa for the Acacia Fund, Aureos East Africa Fund and Aureos Africa Fund. He has been involved in M&A for portfolio companies. Kiriga holds a BSc in Economics from the University of London.

Satinder Kalsi, Non-Executive Director

Sati is a qualified Chartered Accountant with nearly two and a half decades of extensive experience in audit and assurance, tax consultancy and financial management, and provision of trust and wealth administration services.  After completing her FCCA in the UK, she worked in UK for several years before moving back to Kenya where she worked with PKF and JVB Moore Stephens, handling audits and tax matters for multinational companies and business group entities conforming to applicable accounting standards across multiple jurisdictions.  Sati was a senior executive at MTC for over ten years and remains a Non-Executive Director on the MTC board. Sati is a certified member of FCCA (UK), CPA (Kenya), ACMA & GCMA.

Vipin M. P. Shah, Founder

Vipin is a co-founder of Meghraj Group’s financial services businesses with his brother Anant.  Vipin oversees the Group’s businesses. Vipin holds a Fellowship of the Royal Postgraduate Medical School and Imperial College School of Medicine awarded as a result of the family's contribution to charity. Vipin was born in Nairobi and educated in Nairobi, Mumbai and London where he was called to the English Bar as a member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple.

Binoy R. V. Meghraj, Founder

Binoy is Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Meghraj Group, and is responsible for the Group’s strategy, investment banking advisory businesses and new business initiatives. Binoy has over three decades of experience in the finance industry, and he is the Chairman of Meghraj Capital. He has extensive experience of advising Japanese companies on overseas M&A. Binoy is based between Dubai and Tokyo. He is a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (Dubai, Nairobi and Zen Pacific chapters), and is a Steward of the Council for Inclusive Capitalism. He has an Honours Degree in Commerce and Accounting from the University of Birmingham, and an MBA with distinction from London Business School.
